Heron sculpture

I saw this heron sculpture at Eastleach House in the Cotswolds. It gave me ideas for making a sculpture of a heron. With my fellow artists from the Scraptor sculpture group I am making a flock of herons to stand in a lake at Stourhead, the National Trust property in a sculpture trail that will be on show throughout September 2011.

The Scraptors at Stourhead

I have joined Fiona Campbell, Paul Boswell and Rachel Macelay to form a group which we are calling the Scraptors as we all make sculpture from scrap. We will offer themed landscape trails. This was our photoshoot at Stourhead, the iconic National Trust property in Wiltshire , where we have our first "gig", a sculpture trail in the adjacent woods.
